What do being a public relation specialist for a national Air Force, managing executive residential buildings and dancing Argentine Tango have in common?
At the heart of those three seemingly disparate activities lies the need to communicate, understand, care and give back.
I have seamlessly and patiently moved between those three career paths, as I changed countries, adapted to new surroundings and cultures.
Regardless of the role or context, the one constant throughout has been the human factor – what connects people, what keeps them apart, the hurdles in the way and methods to overcome them.
It was only natural that after 23 years of professional activity as a communicator, I would turn to a career in counselling.
As a Person-Centred counsellor, I am passionate about working with people who want to make meaningful changes in their lives. I provide counselling intervention to clients presenting with a range of matters, whether it is regarding something specific, such as overcoming a loss or developing the quality of a relationship, or in broader areas, such as developing communication and decision-making skills. I am here to help you work on your current difficulties.
I believe in the importance of establishing a genuine therapeutic relationship with people who come to see me. My priority is to cultivate a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space to assist you to gain a better self-awareness, build new skills, develop healthier ways to lead your life, and relate to other people.
“The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.”
Albert Schweitzer
More about me
I love dogs and I love the rain. Rain clears the air and dogs give their love unconditionally.
In tango, I’ve found a way to connect with others through music and improvised movement. Tango is also a social activity I enjoy and because I’m full of energy (according to my friends!) I find the time to organise regular social nights for dancers and occasionally teach.
If I’m not dancing, or playing with other people’s dogs in a park, you’ll find me reading detective novels in secluded picnic spots away from the crowds.
I hold a degree in Law, a Master of Arts in Forensic Sciences and another degree in Communications and Public Relations. I moved to Australia and took a different path in life. I decided that all my life and work experience can be put to a better use – to be and stay happy that I can help or do my best to help others to live a meaningful life.
I truly believe that what goes around comes around and by becoming aware of ourselves we can make our worlds a better place to be.
